Call me a prude, but which place has the cleanest furniture? Sometimes I'm afraid if the lights were turned up, I'd find entire micro-civilizations surrounding me. I like funky, but it can be hard to tell the line between funky and gross. "When in Rome..." I suppose. It's not keeping me away, but I would prefer the cleanest place if other factors were the same.

Algiers;
Pros - customer service is great, the people who work there are awesome, it's right under a 24 hour cafe called the alley cat, they'll make any flavor you ask them too, they help pick flavors when your having a hard time deciding, atmosphere is hommie and comfortable with any seating arrangement except for on the floor, they play good music that sets a good mood, you can make music requests, tea is free and not too sweet, it's overall cheaper the first bowl is $7 and any after that is only $3 more charging per person + they have special deals for happy hour (3-5) and happy day (Tuesdays). In any case it's much better then Narg.
Cons: If you don't have your ID and they don't know you you will get kicked out. But that's more of a law then a venue thing.
Narg.;
Pros: They have a poker night, a great selection of shisha, and they use Japanese coals in which you can barely taste at all.
Cons: The Narg. is more of a business or club, if you don't know them there kinda bitchy unless your cute with boobs and a vagina. The customer service treats you as a paying customer only, if your just with a friend who is smoking they are hardly nice and I've gotten death glares from the girls who work there because we were waiting for some friends before we smoked the next bowl.

So obviously I'm more of a fan of Algiers however, I think it's important to go to both of them and make that decision for yourself. Because some people like different things. I know people who refuse to go to the Narg. and people that refuse to go to Algiers. It just depends on how well you know someone on the inside at Narg. or if You'd rather be treated as a person or a customer.

Algiers is about meeting the people, Narghile is about the smoking. Personally I prefer Algiers, simply because its a more communal feel than Narghile.

Hey ben i hate to break it to you but narghile nights has a way more knowledgeable staff then algiers. Algiers couldnt even get a bowl of tangiers to smoke right! The narg carries the best product line available in northern colorado Period! Not to mention that Algiers is the size of my closet. I used to be a regular at Algiers, I knew all of the old staff, Jen, Tom, Whitney, Brit,and dont fortget trevor. Then i made the switch after trevor left and went to the narg, at first i was skeptable but after the first bowl i was convinced. I suggest you try it with an open mind.

do you guys preffer a more traditional hookah bar with the tea the arabic music and the arabic ambiance or a more modern hookah bar with the hip hop all the hookah flavors you can imagine and with a more "night club" touch?

I loved Algiers until the old staff left. The new people who work there are fairly rude and because of them my boyfriend and I really lost interest in the place. We don't smoke there anymore since we have our own hookah, but it's almost more worth it to spend the extra couple bucks at Narghile Nights to buy our supplies from there. Besides the new staff, Algiers is really an awesome place to go! We still love it!

Ben what are you talking about, the tea is $1 and you get two pots. they also play arabic music and have a big middle eastern following which makes me think its very authentic...And whats up with the asian girls and cheerleaders, I don't even know what that means!!!!

haha. narghile nights is for 18 year old asian girls and cheerleaders, if you are looking for a great atmosphere, fun and knowledgeable staff, and just the flat out best hookah experience you can have, then head to Algiers. if you would rather have solja boy blaring in your ears making impossible to have conversation, expensive tea, and a completely non-authentic experience, then go to narghile nights...

Go to Narghile Nights. Algiers is mediocre in comparison.

I really enjoy Algiers. I'm there at least two to three times a month, and I'm on the Tour! (Only 45 more flavors to go ;) ). I highly recommend it. The people have always been really awesome to my friends and me.

Love it there!

Hey! I'm the manager of Algiers, just happened to stumble upon this site. Thanks for all the positive reviews!

For those who haven't been in, we're open 7 days a week, 3p-3a. We're a full service hookah bar and shop, with 115 flavors and counting. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call us at 970.495.6722 (it doesn't hurt to put your name on the wait list on Friday and Saturday nights).

Check us out! Thanks a bunch!

Amazing place. Small and comfortable, with tons of shisha varieties, free tea (Moroccan mint tea), and generally cool people.

It's right below the Alley Cat, too, a nice little ever-open cafe.

I'd recommend it, I'm kind of a regular.
