I know that underage people go there. Please start carding people. I did not have a pleasant hookah experience when I went. It seemed like the hose needed to be cleaned. Just keep underage people out and start carding people. The whole time I was there I did not get carded once. Everytime I buy any type of tobacco I get carded. Do your job correctly.

The place is a good, open bar. But only if you want a "bar" atmospher. I would recomend this place only if you like loud music, and a lot of people who don't really know what they are doing. Or the kinda slutty girls that hit on you on a minute-by-minute basis.

Thought they don't have alcohol, it still has a very bar-like feeling. Not good for someone who wants to chill and relax with friends and smoke hookah.

Over-all. B- give or take the good equipment, and sheesha. But other then that. Its all too "prepy" for me and my friends.

oh and babylon is a hookah bar, not a hookah lounge, desert cafe is a lounge. hence the word bar.

Well its a mixed crowd with how the place is as far as dancing and how crazy it gets....

Lets stop and think about people who smoke hookah and there Groups:

A group:
people who dont like other people, crowds, people yelling, singing while there trying to smoke. These people get there at 7 and stay till 9.(its really Dead)

B group:
people who want to go hang out and be with THERE friends. No one bugging them, besides to ask how there hookah is. This group sits in the back of the hookah bar, a dark shady area.

C group:
Every girl on here that has commented about us loves it there because of the dancing, yelling, and the ablity to feel like u are just 18, 19, 20 since they work 2 or 3 jobs just to make it buy. They want to cut loose and this attracts girl, and girls attract guys and so on.

D group: This group never pays for any thing. Sits next to you and talks to you AND STEALS YOUR HOOKAH! I hate this with a passion. Don't become a victim carry tabasco suace!


I hope this clears up alot of hurt feeling and neg attitudes. Understand that half of u like rap, the other half likes rock... get the picture.

ok last place to rate. I agree with most of the comments made about this place. Awesome selection good prices on hookah acc. Really good equiptment for sale. They sell the best shisha. Their hookah smoke is incredible but could be improved with a longer lasting coal the stuff they use ashes very quickly. Really they sell a better coal than they use "exotica". Theyre coal bitches are really bad about burning things too but over all the smoke is way good. My bigest complaint is how crazy it gets and load. The place reminds me of the old dance club bogies. It's kinda run down. Atmosphere I'd say is their primary weakness maybe a "C". Over all a good place to smoke though since that is what a hookah bars for. And I highly doubt they card everyone there. Always underage girls.

hey thanks for the good and the bad news! we really love to make every feel good. We try to involve every one, even if that means dressing up like chucky chesse and ruin our big egos..lol if any one evr has a prob, just let me know.

I have to disagree with the previous satement, they do card at this place you have to be 18 to get in since they do sell tobacco but it's a very cool place to hang out and yes they card you every time you buy tobacco. Love the music staff is very cool. Great place to chill...

If you want to go somewhere were they don't I'D anyone get there now! Last time I was in there there were ton of underage girls and believe me I knew most of them two girls I work with were there and they are both 17 they couldn't believe they didn't get carded! So yea go hang out with a bunch of underage girls!! So fun!

This is the place to go to dance, hand out and if you want smoke hookah (flav tobacco). No cover charge 18+ very cool. Close to BK high school.

If you're not 21 and want somewhere to go dance this is the place! Cool music, cool staff and if you want to you can smoke hookah too. I went last weekend the place was packed you should check it out.

I agree with Stacy check it out! Staff is very cool, good music finally somewhere to hang out if you're not 21. Clean too.

Very cool place to hang out for everyone, as long as you're 18! Even if you don't smoke just relax and listen to the music. Very friendly staff! Check it out for yourself.

About my previous comment regarding the owners, I was mistaken. Zee is not an owner. Sam is. Zee is no longer around.

Babylon on Curtis and Frankin is 18+, while Babylon on Main St is 21+.

I don't think I'll patronize this place again,gotta agree with the frat boy punk statement, I weep for the time these mental midgets are able to get into a bar, very irresponsible and immature for their age. Being close to the same age, they made me feel like I was at Chuck E Cheeses.

Pros: Great place, great staff, long-lasting bowls

Cons: Irritating, conceited college age, frat-boy mentality kids aged 18-21 who think they're special because they are alternative enough go to the hookah bar on a regular basis.

If you really want a good hookah bar experience, with genuinely friendly regulars, and you're over 21, Babylon Downtown (above Main Street Bistro), the other hookah bar ran by the same owners, is definately the way to go.

Otherwise, this bar is still the 2nd best of 4 I've been to in Boise.

And whoever thinks the owner's name is Colton is mistaken. There may be an employee named Colton, but the owners are most definately Zaid (Zee more commonly) and Esa, both from Iraq (genuine hookah country), and both totally awesome guys.

dude, best place of all time everyone is really friendly and colton is the best owner of it!!!! if i had a chance to work there no doubt i would take it in a heart beat. i would probably just sleep there if i could!!!!!!

This is a very cool place. Everyone is friendly and the staff is great. Very clean. They play music videos on the wall so everyone can dance and have a good time.

Great staff, awesome owner, and the cleanest most peaceful hang out in boise where every one is a friend
