It was a pleasant experience. At first I was a little miffed upon entering. There was a 5 dollar cover charge, cash only, which was annoying. I had to go to an atm, which was more than I was bargaining for. Anyway, I got the money, came in, but when I got there, all the seats were filled and no one seemed to be very helpful in finding me one, which was disconcerting, considering the trouble I went to to get there. Finally I procured a seat at the bar and ordered a hookah with Al-Waha. From the beginning the hookah was harsh - not a good sign, but it eventually came around and was pretty good. The bowl was small, so I kind of felt like I was getting ripped off, but it smoked long enough.
Things turned around, though. The people working at the bar changed and babied my coals and were helpful enough. The atmosphere is cool enough - kind of hippie/kitschy, but what can you expect.
I suppose the best part was the stand up thing that was going on. All of the comics were pretty good and it seemed like there was a real community around this place and the people who worked there. Everyone seemed to know each and I value that. Aside from the cover charge, I didn't encounter any extra dubious fees, and the hookah was paid for upfront. It was cheap - 10 bucks. They have espresso and drinks, so it's real laid back. Recommended.

This is THE hookah lounge to go to. There's something different every night of the week. They got poetry, games, a big screen video projector for Wii and movies, live music, open mic and the BEST open jam in Burque every wednesday night at 10pm. Greatest service - oh and the coffee!!!! Absolute heaven. And the girls that work there are so frickin cute!!! And... it is so chill. I've never seen so many pillows. And don't forget to tag the bathrooms while you are there.
