This place is Ok. It not very clean and they need to work on the service. I am a use to be a regular. I found this place Mediterranea in Montclair. It is so much better and best of all, I don't have to go to Patterson to get a good hookah.

I was at the Damascus Gates few weeks ago and I found it to be really nice. The food was good so was the enterainment. I went on a night they had a singer and a belly dancer. The service was wonderful. The waiter we had really took good care of us. No complaint. I would recommend highly.

u wanna know of a really good place. go to Mediterranea in montclair nj on bloomfield ave. the owners are thesee young syrian guys and their food just got a 4 star rating. they have awesome hookah cuz they actually clean their shit all the time. you won't be sorry...let us know how u like it.

I was looking in anticipation to the opening of Damascus Gates in Paterson only to find out it was disappointing!.
Eventhough Syrians are known for thier good cooking, except this one is far from it. I visited several times and tried different meals but they were all unsatisfying! as for the Hookah, it was not that great either. The pple were nice but I don't think I'll got there again. Thanks.
