i've been at layal several time,food greacy,not fresh expensive, hooka is nasty not clean charcol is the cheap one, the atmosfear is nice the wait staff sucks.

Cafe Layal is a very nice place, it's strongly recommended for anyone visiting houston, I've been there once coz I dont live in houston, but I certainly will be there another time when I go back, and just for the record, I've been to tons of hooka bars including in arabic countries, and this one is Good! ..

cafe layal is a very chill place to go! sunday night is really busy! ya the service can be slow ..but i mean i guess thats what happenes when a place is so busy and popular.anyways im there anytime im in houston! I LOVE CAFE LAYAL!! PLZ OPEN ANOTHER ONE IN AUSTIN

Cafe layal has an excellent vibe to it.It makes you feel like you are in the middle east.Prices are good. And its cool how the owner named it after his daughter

awsome place to study at during the day free wireless... even better to go at night belly dancer is bad ass ... and shisha is prolly the best in town... its very original

whomever says they have good hookas (shishas) they probably haven't smoked a good hooka in their entire LIFE
the hooka basically sucks ass. doesn't worth shit. i smoked one for an hour and half and when i got home i had the worst headeache (FIRST TIME i got a headache from smoking)
the food is ok. i like the kabobs. the price is fair. but u talk about service? ppl working in that place don't know what the **** service is. i had to wait 15 minutes for coal. WTF? i had to wait 20 minutes for the guy to come and ask if i want a refill for my drink.

music in ok

anyways... not the best place in town. but worth going every now and then with some friends (maybe once a month for a change)

p.s. if u want good hookahs check out uptown tappas. they have the biggest selection and great hookas. service is absolutely amazing. and don't even talk about the bar. they can make u any drink, cocktail, etc...

didnt like this place all to much. atmospere was great, food was expensive, hookah, not the cheapest in 20 blocks, and not a very good selection. not to mention the hookahs have coal in the hose, even after geting a new one. overall maryz is was better.

i want to cafe layal they have bad service and same music every wednesday and sunday people getting tired the same songs,food very expensive..about the servise is very bad because the waitress they don`t even know to explain to the custmor what`s in come with dish slow service and the waitress
levaing the custmor waiting because they busy changing numbers with guys in the cafe i hope the owner pay itention to his cafe and thank you

The best new year eve paty was @ cafe layal. Cafe layal never dissapointed me i fly from LA to houston on the weekend just to go to cafe layal. They have the best Hookah and food in town, and also they have the best entertiment program in Texas
