I know if I went into a restaurant and looked at the menu and ordered off the menu and when i recieved my tab at the end and the bill and the menu didn't match i would not i repeat not have paid the bill and the restaurant owner could call the police and i would stay and wait until they came but the truth here is they only paid for what they ordered which was almost nothing and was their choice to leave because i would not let their friend back in and it's really funny that the next day i got a call from the young lady that was having the party to say she was sorry for the way her friend acted so to Ali your a LIAR AND A LOSER grow up and get a life and to everyone who looks at these reviews i'm sorry you had to read all this nonsense but sometimes a person has to get things right but i ask you to please come in and try us out for your self and you will see we have the best hookah bar the cleanest hookah bar and the cheapest hookah in the area but please don't take my word for it try us out your self.

I went to this place last weekend to meet a friend and other guests and we recieved bad customer service the whole time. The manager was not very helpful. For a place that charges a ten dollar cover charge I expect better service. I was very disappointed and will not be back again.

BE AWARE CUSTOMERS!!! BIG TIME RIP OFF!!!!! We went there last weekend with a large group. First they charged us $10 cover fee per person. Then the owner was very rude and disrespectful by telling us what to do every moment. We ordered some hookahs appetizers and drinks. We were going to order food as well but we had to leave because of the rudeness of the owner Sam. His real name is not that at all cause he is Palestinian. At the end when we refused to order more food he started using profanity in front of all the ladies and told us to get the f... out and he charged us well over $500 just for a few appetizers, hookahs and water. Upon requesting a detailed bill he made excuses and said that hookahs are $35 per person which still did not add up. Save yourself the trouble and go to a different hookah bar. There are many in area. Just see the other bars and reviews on this very site.

Alf Laylah is one of the most boring hookah bars i've ever been to, the customer service is horrible and the communication between the customer and the employees is ZERO and if a lot of you think the food is good bla bla bla, a restaurant and a bar dosn't get better by one thing only, it has to have the full package, good customer service, good verbal communication between employees and the customers, the place has to be neat and clean, good management etc. etc. etc. So i didn't feel that they had ANY of the above, me and my friends had to wait for our food to arrive for an hour, and the employees were very rude and low class, and last but not least the management was horrible, as a customer i couldn't even get my point across when i was talking to one of the people in charge, so with that said i will never go to this place ever again and out of 10 rating I will give it a FAT ZERO.........

alf laylah wow is awsom the food is by far the best arbic food i ever had you have to try their hummos wow wow wow and the chicken kabob to die for i can eat there everyday i love it and the hookahs are the best no one can come close to alf laylah so for all you haters out get a life and get over it alf is the best hookah bar in town keep up the good work alf ! you rock

Alf Laylah wa laylah is the best hookah bar in VA. Not only do they have the best hookah they also have the Best Arabic food. Try the beef kobab it is soooooooo good.
I go all the time especially the weekend. The band is very good, me and my friends I can’t stop dancing. Thank you Alf laylah for the great service and atmosphere.

my friends and i go to hookah places a lot. i lived in egypt for 4 years so im used to the good authentic shisha. of all the hookah bars in the northern va area, alf laylah has got to be the best. its clean with a really nice interior. the servers are attentive and friendly. the shisha tastes amazing, and is affordable. and the food is delicious.

I've been going to Alf Laylah for over a year now, and would like to say that this is a very nice hookah bar/restaurant. The food is excellent, the staff is very nice, and the hookah/shisha is good quality.

I've tried a couple of other places since being introduced to hookah at Alf Laylah, but they honestly don't come close.

Alf Laylah is by far the best hookah bar around. much better than Sphinx which is horrible compared to A.L. Sphinx gives you one kind of shisha.....Nakhla. A.L. gives you the choice betweem Starbuzz, Al Fakher, and Nakhla. The premium stuff and the cheap stuff. I bought my first hookah from there and it happened to be a nour. one the best companies. Sam is awesome and is a friend to all customers as the whole staff is too

Great place! We went for the first time last Friday and they had a live band! great music and great Hookah! The singer was awesome, the girl at the door was super nice and let us go in for free since it was our first time. We loved their mint tea and the place was very clean. We went 4 more times this week, we loved it! Servers... super nice, they kept checking on us. I definitely recommend this place.

I just wanted to say, I went to Alf Laylah for the first time tonight (for my birthday) and absolutely loved it!! I have been other hookah bars in the area and this was the best one I have been to yet. It has so much more culture than the others. The only complaint I had was that the service was a little slow. But I think it was cause they didn't expect so many people on a Sunday night. The food was great, it was clean, beautiful mural on the wall, everyone was really nice and not only that but they have starbuzz which is my personal favorite. They even have areas where you can sit on pillows, would be nice to cuddle up to someone really close and just sit back listen to the music and smoke the hookah. I give it a 10! Haven't made it out to Sphinx yet but I have been to one in Fairfax (which was nasty) and Pitalicious (also a good one but not very comfortable) in Chantilly.

You know from time to time i try to see whats posted about some of the places i visit and i have to say some of the things that people post are unfair and really are untrue Alf Laylah the hookah bar in Chantilly is the best hookah and middle eastern food place in Va and don't take my word for it try them yourself sometimes people try to ruin things for the rest of us by posting lies about places for there own personal reasons whatever the reason my advise to everyone is give these places a shot on your own and than make a decision of how they are yourself but going back to Alf Laylah they are the best the best hookahs they have star buzz tobacco try blueberry wow and they also have alfakher tobacco try white grape sweeeeeet! like i said check them out these people on here posting all this nonsense about Alf Laylah must be competitors so don't take there word for it cause than you will be the one missing out try them for your self

Well I just wanted everyone to know that the best hookha bar in town is Alf Laylah not only is it the cleanest one in town but all the staff there is really cool they make you feel at home and the owner makes a point to speak to everyone in there which you would never see in any of these other hookah bars the food there is great the hookah there is the best and the cleanest by far I've seen them empty the water from the hookah and clean after every use unlike some of these other places you order a hookah and you get one with water that is so dirty that it looks like swamp water No Thanks I'll stick with Alf Laylah for my hookah needs every time and i suggest for all those hookah smokers that live in the area and like to go to these other hookah bars in town than you really have to check out this place if you really want a clean and safe fun atmospher.

Just to put it out there Sphinkx is so small and so nasty that I don't go over there I know the employers and the owner at Alf Laylah That each time I come in there I feel welcome PS- sphinkx Sucks

Alf Laylah is a wonderful place. The owners introduced themselves and gave us free shots when they heard it was our first time. Very friendly and one of the best places in VA. "samething" and "Uhhh okay" must work for a competitor because their opinions are way off par. I bet if you went in and stated your issues in person they would hook you up.

Alf Laylah is a phenomenal hookah bar... I've been to most of the hookah bars in the area (including sphinx in herndon)... Alf laylah's staff are extrememly nice-- they play good music-- the place is CLEAN-- which is something that 95% of these hookah bars can not advertise--- the food is excellent-- yea it's a little pricy but it's completely worth it--- on the weekends they have a live band-- and on wednesday nights they have happy hour and a dj! Alf Laylah is the place to BE

Alf Laylah overcharges all their service. They will charge you twice for the same hookah. Some servers are greedy.

Let me start off by saying that the people in Alf Laylah did not "invent" hookah, they are simply proprietors of it.

Secondly, i went to Alf Laylah and I must say it was the worst service i have experienced in a long time. Also the hookah was sub-par copared to other hookah bars in the area. I would not recomend this place to anyone, if your willing to make a trip to Herdon Sphinx is far above this place.

when I got there with my friend I did not know how to smoke a hookah but when I learned how to it was the best thing that I have ever smoked in my life it was better than these three things cig,Pipe,cigar if I had a hookah I would smoke it all day thank you guy's for inventing hookah's
